About
Rimbayu Playgarden (森之风乐园) is a Waldorf-inspired kindergarten and childcare centre in Taman Selayang Utama, Batu Caves, near the forest reserves of Selayang. It describes itself as a joyful garden for children to grow up happily, inspired by the holistic, harmonious development of German Waldorf education. The playgarden focuses on children's first seven years through play-based, nature-connected learning, with nature walks, storytelling and marionette puppetry. Families take part in seasonal celebrations through the year, including the Mid-Autumn Festival, Mother's Day, the Laba Festival and Chinese New Year. Its roots go back to 2014, when families set up a Waldorf elementary school and a kindergarten followed to care for younger children. The centre is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
